Alan Gressel, 79, passed away on Monday, November 9 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Alan was a founder of NORA and served as President of our association in 1995.
A graveside ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 21st at the Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. The family will receive relatives and friends after the ceremony. NORA will be represented by Scott D. Parker, Executive Director, and Jack Waggener, Senior Consultant.
He is survived by his wife Sonya, son David (Rika Yu), daughter Debra (Harold Madorsky), sister Donna Gold (Lee) and brother Joel (Eleanor) as well as grandchildren Benjamin and Alexander Madorsky and Anna, Madeline and Daliah Gressel. His wife of over 50 years, Norma (Lerner), passed away in 2005.
In lieu of flowers,the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Cleveland Orchestra. To make a contribution, make it payable to The Musical Arts Association and mail it to:
